Roel has accumulated over 20 years consulting experience in public and private context. As a former director of Strategy Works/Strategy Academy, he helps organizations in understanding their history, exploring their current environment and visioning their future. To his opinion the ultimate aim in strategy is to find potential pathways forward that balance short term issues and long term aspirations.
Roel strongly believes that visioning and strategizing are processes where organisations should involve their members and stakeholders from the start. That creates a solid basis of integral understanding and willingness to execute. Having a good strategy is important, being able to execute it is key: the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Besides his consulting practice, Roel is a passionate teacher on the subject of strategy.
