As consultant, analyst, trainer and coach, Alexander’s true love lies in creating and managing team dynamics. Alexander teams up with Strategy Works/ Strategy Academy as consultant and as a trainer/coach in executive programs. Alexander has a pragmatic and inspiring approach to complex problems and organizational development.
From his practice, he teaches several courses in systems thinking and systems engineering at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands. For his educational activities at that university he received many different (international) educational awards. He received the title ‘Best Professor of Delft University of Technology’ in 2013. Together with Pauline de Heer Alexander wrote a book on getting a firm grip on complex situations. Based upon this book ‘Solving Complex Problems’ he also developed and successfully runs a massive open on-line course on the EdX platform for well over 25 thousand students worldwide.
Alexander is a strong believer in development of yourself through ownership of your learning objectives. Using insights from psychology and neuro linguistic programming and using his experience from practice, he published (with Elianne de Regt) a book on showing leadership in (graduation) projects called ‘Graduation? Challenge accepted!’.
