Wester believes that organizational cultures are still heavily underestimated in strategy today. Without properly aligning an organization’s culture with strategy, implementing new strategies is likely to fail.
Wester is currently a researcher at Strategy Works where he translates scientific insights into practice. He has accumulated the competences necessary to successfully deal with complex strategy questions through his international endeavors. He spent three years abroad and studied at five universities in four different countries. He obtained a BA in Japan Studies at Leiden University, doing an exchange year at Nagasaki University, and pursued his MA in Euroculture at Uppsala University, spending semesters abroad in Göttingen and Osaka.
